Great bread and bagels, sandwhiches on point! Bread is crispy for hours, very interesting story behind this place and their recipe!

Great bagels! I bring them into work as a treat and EVERYONE raves about them. High quality and great taste!

Good place to grab a quick bite. If you love bagels this is the spot to get one. Good management and clean. Love the huge cookie they sell. GM David is very friendly and takes care of his customers like he should.

Stumbled upon Brooklyn Water Bagels after yelping "lox" to satisfy my weekly lox bagelwich craving. I parked in the back lot where there's plenty of free parking. The man at the register was super friendly and welcoming, and even gave me a coffee on the house! :) Literally 5 min after I ordered, a line formed all the way to the entrance! They're obvi doing something right. The only thing I would add to perfect my experience is add some capers and lettuce on the bagelwich and a pickle on the side. Some electrical outlets would be nice too, so I can watch an episode of the simpsons while I carbo-load.

The worst service that I have ever received. They did not get my order correctly and asked me to come back to the store to get credit. Most of their coffee was cold. Very unprofessional business. I look forward to them going out of business soon. They have no idea how to provide good customer service.

Delicious bagels & Friendly staff too!!! I bought a dozen of all sorts of flavors for fam bam and sampled each ...loved them all!!! I'm glad there located here in Westchester :)

  • Chelsea P.

Bagels were amazing. Worth the price to me. I got a bacon, egg and cheese on a garlic bagel. If you like garlic, so amazing. My husband got the same and loved it! My father got a pastrami and said it was the best bread he has ever had and we all had a taste! I don't even like pastrami! So good! It was also very clean and the entire staff was smiling and friendly and accommodating! Great for breakfast or lunch!

  • Taylor M.

Horrible customer service. Staff is so rude and takes forever, waited 20 minutes for 3 bagels and they were not apologetic about it whatsoever.

They raised their prices. $1 29 for a barely above average bagle? Puleeezzzeee.

  • Maria L.

The bagels are delicious! I got a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese-- they put just the right amount on. The coffee was okay, I got the hazelnut. Tasted kind of watered down. Great to find a bagel place though! Would recommend .

I like bagels. This place knows how to make bagels. They are never dried out but they are a bit on the pricier side but it is worth it. I also enjoy their pizza bagel and their wide selection of iced coffee beverages. This place brings some life to Westchester, I just wish parking was easier. It has a bad location for the breakfast crowd.

If you've been to NYC you know what a bagel "should" taste like... and now the little delights are in L.A. They also have a self-served coffee bar, and for those who love a cold cup of joe, you will be happy to find that they carry a nice little selection. Selzer fans?? Brooklyn Bagels also carrys the condiments to make yourself a chocolate soda or cream soda....magic. Half moons and muffins are also yummy. Fruit bowls, juice, omlets and sammies are on the menu...I just havent veared toward them yet... you won't be disappointed..I promise... you're welcome.

  • Stephany B.

Bagels here are really really really good and kids can make their own chocolate milk.

  • Marissa C.

I'd really like to give them a 2.5, but it's not an option. The iced coffee options are yummy. The bagels are yummy, but what bagel place doesn't have lox/salmon? I asked and they gave me spread and didn't mention it when I clearly asked for lox.

My cousin who had been bragging about this place for a while now took me yesterday morning. The bagels were so fresh the coffee was great also inexpensive. The owners were there and they were sweet and kind as well. Asked us questions to see if everything was good. My cousin has become a regular. And I believe I am falling right behind her.

WOW! DOUBLE WOW! Taste like the Bagels in NYC!!! Delicious. And they will slice the bagels for you if you buy a bunch for an office meeting. Everyone that I have brought here, or taken a bagel to agrees: BEST BAGEL in all of LA! Coffee galore with many different New York style creamers. They also have bagel sandwiches! Plenty of parking behind the building. You have absolutely NO EXCUSE not to try Brooklyn Water Bagels just once. Trust me, you will love it! My favorite? Toasted Cinnamon and raisin with cream cheese and tomato. (Don't knock it until you've tried it!) Cheers!

I searched for good bagel place this past sunday and wasn't disappointed. I like the vibe here, it's not too geriatric and they had a nice setup with a good selection of coffee. The people here are super nice and the food comes out fast. This is a chain worth visiting. I wouldn't hesitate on coming back.

The worst sandwich place by the LAX. The bread was hard as rock and the lettuce and tomato tasted old. My teeth couldn't bite threw the meat. Go to Quiznos subs half a block down. Way better!

My "usual order" each morning is the Apple Cinnamon Muffin. Today 2-26-2014 I tried the new Specialty Order Muffin which is the same as a black-and-white cookie (black and white chocolate) and it was great! Dawn, the manager, stops to talk with you and it may last more than a few minutes, i.e. she is truly interested in talking with her customers, and she asked me if business was good! Brooklyn Water Bagels has a new trademark structure, outside in the parking lot closer to the back of the building. It is a HUGE BAGEL towering over a nearby business. Stop by and see it! And get a bagel and coffee while you are there. Thank you Dawn and your able and friendly staff. I will always be a customer.

They have ROTTENS & BUGS!!!!! Not cool!!! I'd shut them down ASAP! I HONESTLY WOULDNT COME TO THIS PLACE! The food is ok, not all that for the hype, I do however recommend for cooks to trim any facial hairs!!!! I found couple of hairs in my bagel absolutely DISGUSTING! Some of the cashiers were sooooo FAKE! They kept looking at me weird yeah I have lots of tattoos so what!!! Do your job!! Not only that they have sooooooooo many unprofessional employees I use to come here every week I felt like I seen 20 new unexpiirenced ppl there! & what sucks freakin more is that I always get the crappy cashiers, this lady older lady that works there NOT SO FRIENDLY, instead of helping her employees shed rather dance, if that's the case take your self to a dance club, the music is extremely loud at times & the selection puts me to sleep so I use to take to go!! This place is a reck a total disaster, the floors are ALWAYS DIRTY, the tables are never cleaned either, & there always out of ICE CUBES!! If I worked for the CITY I'd shut this place down, last time I was there I seen a REALLY BIG BUG by the far end table! EWWWWW!!! You ppl need to start doing something right, or someone with POWER will DHUT YOU DOWN!!! The cooks are creepy and pervs & you guys always run out of bagels!! It's also VERY EXPENSIVE!!! C'mon ppl $7 dollars for a sand which?! SERIOUSLY!! I WOULDN'T TRY THIS PLACE!!!! I recommend PANERA or STARBUCKS!!

I love this place. The bagels are good, and I really love the bagel sandwiches. Their vegetarian omelet bagelwich with swiss cheese is great, and you can even get it with egg whites. Bonus points for the wide selection of drinks/sodas. This is a great place to go for a casual Saturday morning breakfast or to meet a friend to catch up. FYI, the line looks long from the door, but they process people quickly. Most orders seem to be takeout, so there's no problem finding a seat after ordering.

  • Sara C.

Pretty close to east coast style bagels - best carbs for breakfast. Bagel sandwiches are pretty solid, as is the coffee.

  • Tobi K.

I came here for the first time today, and this place is delicious. They have so many bagels to choose from (seriously, I can never decide within a reasonable time limit!) and so many different ways to have your bagel. On top of that, the price is amazing (just $1.10 a round) and their selection of drinks is impressive -- juices, coffees, special sodas... What really hit it off for me was the customer service. You get your bagel with a smile and they really take care of you, even after you've paid for your food. They didn't leave anyone hanging. I'll be back soon to see if they deserve that fifth star! (:

  • A P.

We came in craving breakfast bagel sandwiches and they sure hit the spot. The bagels were nice and soft and there's a decent variety to choose from. We had the sausage, egg, and cheese and it was not only tasty, but very filling. I also saw omelets on the menu, which I think I'll try next time. I was impressed with the large beverage station which offers a vast selection of iced and hot coffees, sodas, and even an ice cube dispenser where the ice cubes are made with coffee for your cold coffee drinks. Anyone feeling like an egg cream soda? You can get that here too! Their soda fountain offers plain soda water and there's an egg cream syrup spout where you can sweeten your soda water to your liking. Great addition to the community!

  • Marna H.

Pretty expensive for what you get. I ordered a ham and cheese bagel and the clerk asked if I wanted cheese. I looked at him funny and he said cheese costs extra. Huh???? Then why not just called ham? The overall vibe is very unsettling with the house / trance / techno music and the rumblings from the cooler where the juice bottles are. All through the shop are signs saying that the water has been Brooklynized which makes no sense. I did not bother to ask just seems like a dumb slogan. Anyway it was probably a better place to eat if I didn't sit there but it was just overall annoying

  • A R.

The BEST bagels EVER! They have tons of choices, GREAT iced coffees (with coffee ice cubes) and fresh squeezed orange juice. Soo good. The samples are awesome and the atmosphere is fun.

  • Brooke K.

I've been here a couple time. The bagels are really good and I got some whitefish salad to go, which was also good. The black and white cookies are enormous and really good. Prices are reasonable. I'm glad they're in my neighborhood.

  • Nick B.

No one got back to me. So for less than $20 they just lost a customer. A good customer. No biggie on my end, I already found my new place.

    (1)
  • Bernadette K.

These are Real Bagels. Not like the inferior "Bagels" you can purchase at Noahs or East Coast or for that matter, the grocery store . These truly stand out among all the other "Bagel" shops.....if you purchase anywhere else in the area, you are getting bagel shaped Bread.

    (4)
  • Kari K.

I am officially addicted to this place! Best bagels around. Super chewy, soft, and oh-so-flavorful. It doesn't get better than this! Plus, they have an amazing array of coffees and drinks! I'm a huge fan of their "Cubsta" iced coffee that uses ice cubes made from coffee (why hasn't anyone thought of this before? Genius). Now when my coffee melts, it doesn't turn into coffee-water. Its still rich and flavorful. mmmmmmm. I want a bagel right now ;)

I finally had the chance to try Brooklyn Water Bagels over the weekend. The bagel was excellent but when I was about to eat my third bite of the sesame bagel I noticed a long black hair (BAKED) in the bagel. I would have given them 5 stars but from a hygiene and quality control level I had to knock the stars down. Tie your hair back or wear a hair net!! I'm not sure if I will ever go back. :(.

Fantastic service and fantastic bagels. At first it was a little slow in service, but the bagels are great! The coffee is great too.

  • Cesar P.

Great bagels that taste like they're made in NYC. The asiago jalepeno bagel was one of the best I've had. Good, quick service, convenient to the airport, and they make a great breakfast sandwich. And they open early, so if you have to catch an early flight this is a place to stop to grab a bite.

    (4)
  • Melanie A.

Fantastic bagels!! Great self-serve coffee!! I'm a regular and a huge fan. Go here, you will not be disappointed

Sliced Nova bagel sandwich is very good! My first time here today and I'm coming back soon.

  • Brianne R.

I love bagels, and finally there's a good bagel spot near my house. These are legit bagels, chewy and crispy when you toast em. They have a nice assorted cream cheese selection and from what I've tried it's all fresh, real strawberries not the gel mixed into the cream cheese. My husband didn't used to love going to a bagel place with me because he always left feeling like he didn't get enough, but he loves going here and even suggests it for breakfast some days. P.S They're bagel sandwiches are awesome too, try the asiago cheese bagel with anything on it... wow!

It's a pretty good place to grab a bagel. Good prices. The breakfast bagel I ordered was alright, nothing spectacular. They have interesting coffee flavors but they're so-so. Great variety of bagels though.

This is a great spot for breakfast or for hungry college students at the end of an all nighter. Went here on a Friday morning. Was first in line at 6:00 am. On my way out 15 minutes later the line was almost out the door. Really amazing bagels. Good coffee bar with lots of selection both hot and iced. They even have coffee ice cubes so your drink doesn't get watery. I got the sausage and egg bagel and a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese for a mid day snack. The sausage was pretty peppery in the sandwich bagel but I didn't mind. Also I couldn't resist the blueberry and ate it with my sandwich. It was delicious. My friends got a variety of sandwiches and bagels as well and all really enjoyed theirs. Definitely going back on a weekly basis.

As a born and bred Brooklynite and now transplant to LA, I was very excited to try Brooklyn Bagels. I loved that there was Brooklyn Water. I asked what made it "Brooklyn" and was going to be a wise ass to the girl behind the counter (who was clearly trained in what to say regarding this question) to see if she knew the difference between Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx's water. To be honest, I really didnt notice anything in the water. I did like the nice touch of U-Bet syrup and Seltzer with instructions on how to make an Egg Cream. I enjoyed looking at the backdrop of the NYC skyline and the list of "famous" Brooklynites. Had my BK pride showing! I should have just had the typical Bagel with a shmear, but instead had a scrambled egg/bacon on an Onion bagel. The bagel itself was actually pretty good. Nice and dense/chewy. I would have liked more choices in cream cheeses/spreads. I would definitely go back again to check out just a bagel/cream cheese. I give it 3 stars only because its NOT like a real Brooklyn/NYC bagel...but good for CA.

Close by - hit and miss. I go 2 times a week sometimes great sometimes burnt bagels and incorrect order. Like the coffee bar but not consistent. Needs more supervision and quality control

  • Brown Hornet ..

These bagels are legit! I now have a finer appreciation for bagels done right. They're worth the drive if you're not close. These bagels are levels above all others. My bagels were warm, chewy, moist and delicious.

Sign says "make it a combo $2 more", but this does not include the sandwiches on a bagel, only the ones on the banquettes. Why? Say no to sandwich discrimination.

  • Brooke S.

Best bagels ever! I had the jalapeño asiago with light veggie cream cheese and it was insane. I love the coffee area, so many choices, so little time. The location and street parking were super convenient. Service was fast and friendly. Couldn't ask for anything more.

For a year or two I have been searching for that elusive amazing bagel in Los Angeles. After trying a couple places, and getting tired of Noah's bagels, Brooklyn bagels finally opened up, and it has been a long time coming! Just the best darn bagel I have had in years: so happy! The everything bagel has the best seeds which really complement each other (no caraway seeds to overpower the rest). One of the great added bonus are the Frozen Coffee cubes they have: it's a great way to cool down that scalding coffee! All in all my favorite bagel place around and I will be back (too many times probably)

Oh. Em. Gee. Their bagels are the bomb dot com!!! The protein bagel is the best!!! I'm a new customer and a new fan!

Awesome. Texture is fantastic. My favorite place in Los Angeles to get bagels. I've been looking for a place like this since I moved here from TX in '97. Kudos! Also, the black and white cookie and the chocolate egg creams are super!

I am from New Jersey and am constantly complaining that I can't find a good bagel around here so when my husband noticed this place we had to try it. I had pumpernickel with plain cream cheese. I was disappointed that they only had strawberry and grape jelly so I bought a jar of orange marmalade at Trader Joe's across the way to add to it at home. I also got a plain one with nova (lox) spread for my husband. Both not toasted since we weren't going to eat them right away. The pumpernickel had a nice crust, chewy dense inside and lots of seeds on the outside. Both cream cheese were standard. They also have containers in a bin across from the registers of different deli salads like egg, albacore tuna and the ones I got.... smoked whitefish for hubby and chicken salad for me. I actually didn't see any chicken salad but asked if they had it and the very nice cashier Alex said he would make it fresh for me and even asked me how much I wanted (which was less than their normal 1/2 lb tubs) $3 worth (about a 1/4 lb) was plenty for me and he was nice enough to do that and seemed really eager to please and happy to be working there. He even told me that he had my bagels sliced for me... I was excited about that but alas when I got home they weren't... obviously not his fault. The chicken salad was EXCELLENT... very basic but with that classic flavor that I miss from back home. Whitefish salad was nice and smoky with a great texture... perfect for eating on crackers. Bottom line... not the best bagels I've had (honestly, the ones you can get at the airport in NY or NJ are better) and prices are high but It nice to have a taste of home nearby.

They get it right. I think it's the Brooklyn-Ized water machine. Best fountain sodas in town. Love it.bagels are the closest thing you can get to a Ny bagel with schmear. Get a fountain soda from here seriously the best in this town.

Got a coupon in the mail for some free bagels and thought I would give it a try. Went inside, showed the coupon and was told to "come back tomorrow". No explanation or anything, they clearly had bagels, but I guess not for people with coupons. Very frustrating. Maybe I'll try it again later, others seem to like them, but was very surprised by this.

great service, clean location, good food & reasonable average prices...they serve breakfast & lunch bagels! yummy place, will be coming back!

  • CV J.

Went twice thinking my lack of enthusiasm the first time could be a write off as a bad day. Second time was not the charm and do not, I repeat DO NOT attempt to buy more than you will eat in a day. My well stored day old bagel was like biting into cement. You know the consistency bread takes when microwaved...yeah like that.

I drive to LAX and back probably 100 times a year or more. I noticed this location was finally open and stopped in. The staff were all over-the-top friendly and helpful. I ordered my usual- an everything bagel with cream cheese. It was great. Seeds on BOTH sides, nice chewy exterior, dense interior, great flavor. They have an extensive self-serve beverage area where you can pick from several coffee options, iced coffee with coffee ice cubes, sodas, and even chocolate egg creams. Instead of paying for the low quality, high price airport food, stop here on the way and grab something much better.

    (5)
  • Deirdre D.

It took forever for this place to finally open, but worth the wait! I don't know what Brooklyn water tastes like, or water bagels are supposed to taste like. These bagels are chewy with a slightly crunchy crust, delicious flavors (especially like the egg bagel). Lots of drink choices too including unusual things like egg cream and many flavors of hot and iced coffee. Slightly pricey, but definitely more unique than the other good bagel places around!

    (4)
  • Joonee B.

Yummy iced coffee! Cinnamon Bagel raisin with sausage, egg and cheese was so good! Would come back for more!

    (5)

Good and tasty bagels. The coffee variety is awesome (banana/caramel?? oh yes). Just shooosh and get here. Delish...and I'm a bagel snob.

Move over Bay Cities Italian Deli -- this is my new favorite sandwich shop!! The bread is delicious!! I hope they someday soon decide to extend their hours, since closing at 4 pm prevents me from getting a sami for dinner!! My husband also loves the bagels and the iced coffee. I really like the water that comes out of the fountain! Not sure if it really is better or if I'm just placebo'd into thinking it is, but it's delicious!! My hats off to the Owners of this place that have worked hard to make it such a fabulous/local neighborhood spot!!

Twice in the past month, I came home to find a coupon for a free bagel in the crack of my door. Not the 6 free bagels coupons the other person mentioned, I got 2 of those in the mail as well. I figured if they're going to trespass - twice - AND clutter my mailbox, this better be worth it. I had a few extra minutes this morning, so I decided to stop by, get some coffee, and redeem my free bagel. The cashier said it was expired. I said "Excuse me?" He said "It's expired, isn't there an expiration date on it?" I said "No." He said, "Oh well, your total is..." Not off to a great start. At least now I know why I got so many coupons - they don't accept them. Because I left home without breakfast, I went ahead and paid for it. I got the rye bagel, because rye is a fairly rare find in LA. It was undercooked, overtoasted, and I couldn't finish it because of the awful aftertaste it developed, like salty and burnt licorice (and I like licorice). The coffee was weak and watery. Second star because it's dirt cheap, so I got what I paid for. So there's that, I guess.

Love this place! I'm from Brooklyn so I can tell youse guys when I gets really good food! HA! The bagels sandwiches were so good and fresh I wanted to try more! Even the Brooklyn cawfee was delish and their water.YUMMY! The Manager, Alfredo, was so friendly and greeted our party with a huge smile. He served us and was very nice. I wish there was one in the desert of Coachella. If there was I would be there EVERYDAY! As Arnold would say "I'll be back!" HA!

  • Lisa R.

Really good bagels, especially the onion. Now for an update: This location is MUCH better than the one near USC. The kitchen staff at this location really listen to your requests, such as lightly toasting or the way you like your cream cheese. Plus, they are much more efficient and the shop is cleaner. And before I forget, the iced coffee really makes Brooklyn outshine so many other places.

Who doesn't like bagels? They pile on the cream cheese here. I'm so glad they opened up in our neighbor.

I discovered this place because I live in the area and I was aware the day they opened. My wife and I are by costal and we miss those bagels! This place is awesome! It makes us feel like we are in Brooklyn when we are there! The bagels are so very good! I have several favorites! If you happen to be in LA and are missing your NY fix this is the place!

my morning ritual is coming here before work and getting either a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese or a russian pumpernickel with nova cream and a cup of coffee. they give the perfect bagel to cream cheese ratio and quality is great.

Wish I could add 5 more stars!!! I found this place on Yelp, otherwise I probably would not have noticed it. I am so SUPER impressed with the customer service. A casually dressed gent walked over to my son and introduced himself and shook his hand. (at about 6'1" and 300 pounds, my son is very salient and often gets "hit on" by coaches and sports fans wanting to start a Bromance because he looks like a Defensive Linebacker with a baby face n great manners!!!! ANYWAY, this guy was very sweet, he told us that next door they will be opening a PhillyCheese sandwich shop and also a yogurt shop. He wanted to make sure we told him about our experiece at the Bagel store......Well..... There is a viewing area to see the bagels being made, a large assortment of coffee and several varieties of bagels, omelette's, juices etc. Very sweet and friendly staff (well the boss was there!! LoL). We ordered 2 egg and cheese bagels with sausage. When we grabbed our order the (now i know) owner grabbed a brown bag and filled them with bagels and GAVE them to us! Now with all of this sweetness you are probably wondering....how was the food?!? It was Great!!!! Tender appropriatly soft bagel, flavorful eggs n LOTS of cheese!!! I'll return!!!

A friend of mine works near by and I always drove to Noahs on Saturdays to get my spinach, egg,& mushroom bagel for the both of us. She noticed Brooklyn Bagels one day and said we should give it a try. Am I ever glad we did. The bagels are delish! I had an everything bagel toasted with spinach, mushroom, egg, & provalone.. I have to say these are better than any around. They may be better in NJ and NY, but we are in LA and its hard to find a good chewey bagel here that isn't hard as a rock. Kudos to Brooklyn Bagels! We will be back very soon :)

My husband and I are huge fans of this place. It was a VERY necessary addition to the area and worth the wait for it to open. We used to go to East Coast Bagels in Manhattan Beach but now will drive up to Westchester to come here instead. We both get egg bagels toasted with nova spread and Diet Cokes with cherry syrup added. He also gets their black & white cookies... if you are a fellow expat East Coaster who loves those, this is an excellent place to get them (opportunities to buy authentic fresh ones in West Los Angeles are otherwise non-existent). I have never had the breakfast sandwiches, but my husband tells me they are tasty. The restaurant is kept very clean. The tall blonde woman who manages the front of the restaurant is very courteous and obviously conscientious about providing a good customer experience. The man who works at the pass as the expediter of orders is very good too. Kudos to both of them for a job well done. I have never been dissatisfied coming here.

Love Brooklyn bagel in Beverly Hills but this westchester store has some kinks to work out. Went in early in the morning (when I would assume they know everyone is in a hurry). Ordered one egg bagel toasted with butter and one plain egg bagel not sliced. Waited almost 15 minutes for the bagel with butter (there was one person in line ahead of me). Went and asked after my other bagel and while they had charged me they hadn't put it in and I had to dig my receipt out of the trash to prove that they had charged me for it. When I finally convinced them they took another 7 minutes to give me that plain bagel and they sliced and toasted it. I had no time to complain but will never stop there again. One more complaint--they have no black tea, strange thing for a breakfast restaurant not to carry. Get your act together--making the brand look bad!!

Great bagels and great staff. I've started coming here on my way to work; awesome way to start the day.

This is a nice alternative to Noah's. If you come in when the bagels are hot and fresh - they are, of course, awesome.

This is the best breakfast place in Westchester! The bagels are amazing. I would take the Cubsta iced coffee over the same at Starbucks any day. The managers (Alfredo and the other female manager) are both very friendly and welcoming. The staff is great and the place can handle a rush very quickly. I go there 2-3 times per week!

I have tried bagels from everywhere, and these are by far the best bagels I'VE EVER HAD! Crispy, fluffy, flavorful on both ends= perfection!!!

Five stars because I love my Cubsta iced coffee!! Best iced coffee ever because you get to choose the coffee, type of creamer, and amazing coffee ice cubes! My go-to is the Infusion coffee (Kahlua, caramel, vanilla) with Vanilla creamer. Coffee (hot and cold), creamers, and ice cubes come from easy to use push dispensers! I think there are 5 choices for iced coffee, 5 or 6 types of creamer/half and half, and soy is available too. Plus free refills on the same visit! $3.49 for 24 oz. Great deal because it can last awhile with the coffee cubes preventing dilution. I usually order a toasted asiago bagel easy on the veggie cream cheese. They usually slather on the cream cheese, which isn't bad but too much for my taste. My love's fave bagel sandwich is the bacon, egg and cheese. Unfortunately they serve lunch sandwiches at 10 and we are never there at that time. They have more sandwich choices for lunch. They open early so they are a good bagel breakfast before work! Only bummer is they close at 4pm so if I had a Cubsta craving after work I'd have to wait until the next day.

Delicious bagels that taste like they're from the east coast! The girl that helped us had a huge welcoming smile. I had a bacon egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel with avocado. YUM! The coffee bar is great and has coffee ice cubes and dispensers for iced and hot coffees plus a bunch of flavored dairy options too! We will definitely be back to try their sandwiches which look pretty bomb too!

Veggie breakfast bagel was A-Ok. I ate it 30 minutes after ordering since I wanted something to eat while at LAX and it was a little too "soggy". The bagel wasnt toasted anymore which is one of the highlights of a bagel! Eggs were a little spongey, not much vegetables to egg. Raisin bagel was good. Lightly toasted no cream cheese, just how I like it. Would definitely return for the "sweeter" bagels. Service is really nice and efficient.

I stop by this place whenever I am in LA. I love the muffins and bagels, especially the garden veggie schmear. Everyone is very friendly, and quick. I will have to try the extensive sandwich menu sometime. My favorite thing about Brooklyn Water Bagels is their iced coffee. They're the only place I've ever found with the iced coffee cubes, which are awesome! They don't rotate their flavors too much. But that's actually a good thing!

I've visited this bagel shop 3 times. I rarely eat bagels anymore. They used to be my staple food. I literally would eat several bagels a day in the past. Now maybe I'll have 1 a month. I'm new to California and while I live in Glendale, I make sure to pick up a bagel or two here whenever I'm near the airport. I absolutely love the simple, yet perfect dough that they use. The bagels are chewy, yet soft and slightly sweet. I always eat them plain, right out of the bag, they need no toppings. When I'm extra hungry I order a breakfast sandwich (breakfast is served a day here). My last one was a sausage, egg and cheese in Asiago bagel. It was so good. Huge and cheesy. I ate half of it driving back home and got so stuffed. Thank goodness I had my Cubbsta coffee to wash it down with. Yes. The Cubbsta is another reason why I love this place. They have coffee ice cubes and several flavored coffee or strengths of coffee for you to choose from. Vanilla, hazelnut and plain creamers also. It's self-serve. I left off a star because the last time I was here I felt like I was an employee. I had to tell them they were out of coffee cubes and the server told the customer that was waiting after me that there might be a few left. I didn't see her try to go pour more coffee in to make more. Then there was a huge flood of water on the floor pouring out to the front door. I had to alert her of this as well. She got a broom (not a mop) and tried to clean it. I don't think the result of using the broom was great, but I left to avoid the mess.

I was rushing to an appointment and was starving afterwards. This place piqued my interest because of all the positive reviews. So I had to check it out for myself. Located on the corner, it was bright and airy inside. For a bagel shop it was spacious. The cashier was friendly and helped me order exactly what I was craving: a breakfast sandwich with egg, ham, and swiss on top of a toasted blueberry bagel. I love a good bagel sandwich and this fits the bill. The eggs were fluffy and filled with chunks of ham and gooey cheese. The bagel was lightly toasted on the outside and soft on the inside. So good! I agree with other reviews on how this place has chewy bagels, but I like it. I thought it was just the right amount of chewy. Anyways, you either like it or you don't. Personal preference, I guess. One tip: eat it while it's hot. It's just way better hot! I know I've only tried one thing on their menu, but I just have a feeling this is my kind of bagel shop. Oh and breakfast is served all day. I happen to crave breakfast at random times, so I'm glad I found this place!

Came in for the prosciutto and salami sandwich but they ran out of French bread and the guy who took our order gave me free iced coffee, chips and any other item on the menu in place of the sandwich I couldn't get. I got the chicken salad sandwich on an everything bagel - Delicious! I will definitely be coming back for more. Thank you for the hospitality!

  • Dan S.

The selection of bagel flavors is decent. However, they fail my test of a good bagel: crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I am from the east coast and both the bagels and bread are lacking IMO, except for one Georgian bakery in the Russian neighborhood on Santa Monica Blvd just east of Fairfax. My search continues...

I remember being really curious about this place and having high hopes about NY bagels in LA. On my first visit, I was completely underwhelmed by everything we ordered. The bagels were average, like manufactured "store bought". The juice also tasted "meh". The coffee was okay. Everyone has an off day now and then (maybe it was me that day, you know?), so we returned a few weeks later and same results. It's not terrible or bad, but at least when I go to other chains, I am not paying for completely average bagels/bagel sandwiches made from "magic" NY water that is supposed to make them better than the rest.

  • Lai T.

After flying a redeye out to LA the first place my sister insisted going to is a NY bagel shop? In her defense, In-n-Out wasn't open yet. The shop setup is legit. Conveyor belts, vats where the bagels are boiled. The service is very friendly. The bagels are fresh. But call me a snob, but I wasn't blown away with the taste of the bagels. Two weeks prior to my trip, my bf had brought home some bagels which were legitimately from NY and those were still haunting my tastebuds. So yes, I think this place is a-ok. Their coffee offerings are quite interesting. Unfortunately, I'm not a big coffee drinker. But on a lighter note-it does seem to have the seal of approval from a lot of folks ;)

    (3)
  • Sandy A.

Just OK... I'm originally from Brooklyn and this is definitely NOT a Brooklyn bagel, but it's as close as you're going to get in Los Angeles. I'd stick to just a bagel because the eggs and cheese taste like they have been microwaved. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Another perk is its close to LAX.

    (3)
  • Caitlin D.

The bagels are delicious, but I go for the cubsta iced coffee! It's the best! Whoever thought to make ice cubes out of coffee is a genius. This is also a super popular spot with LMU students on the weekends.

I want to start telling you that I not like bagels. I got to this place because I was in the area. The best thing ever!!! the bagel is soft the service is friendly.

  • Chris S.

If you visit LAX often, do yourself a favor a build a little time in to swing by Brooklyn Bagels for a morning bite rather than eat the poor food offered in the terminals. While the service can be slow at times Brooklyn succeeds in delivering quality bagels and providing enough choices to keep everyone happy. Word spread quickly after this location opened (I used to grab breakfast stuff at the Grinder (no longer in business) and Panera. Now you'll find LAPD, LA County Sheriffs and Airport Police hanging out here drinking coffee and eating bagels. And if that's what your in the mood for you can't go wrong here. Keep in mind, they also make bagel sandwiches. We often order it here and bring it on the plane with us. They're affordable, fresh, tasty an there's ample parking in the street and behind the restaurant.

  • Randy B.

I waited and waited for them to open. Then, they opened and they waited a long time for me. Finally, I took a turn for Brooklyn, and I was disappointed. First, it's built like a sandwich shop. Donned in blue, but taken out of a Subway shop with Brooklyn-themed sketches. The bagels, and I expected 2 dozen in a window-shaped display, were about 10 different choices in an open metal display behind the register. Coffee cannisters to the right, a little makeshift refrigeration unit (which seems like an afterthought and not feng shui at all comes between the ordering counter and behind the line), features a half dozen items ranging from cream cheese to tuna. Second, the bagels were nothing special. Not the shape, nor the texture, were any different or unique than a Noah's. In fact, a little chewier makes it less desirable. For a bagel and some time to kill before a flight out of LAX, it's okay.

    (3)
  • Jay T.

Your average bagel place. They claim to have a proprietary water purification system that outputs water like you'd get in Brooklyn, but I didn't notice any difference in the taste. My wife and her sister seemed impressed, but I'm a tougher sell. I ordered a salt bagel with cream cheese. No complaints on the amount of cheese, it was a little more than I needed, but better that than too little. Same doesn't really go for the amount of salt. I like salt, but short of loading up the bottom they couldn't have gotten any more salt on this thing. And it's tough to get off. So I wouldn't go for the salt again. To be honest, I'd probably just go to the big chain across the street anyway,

LOVE the coffee bar! Has forever changed where I get my morning coffee. The frozen coffee cubes are such a smart invention. The first time I got a sandwich, the these was still not melted and it was gross. But if you have them wrap it up, it melts and is SUPER good! I've gone back three times down in one week. So glad I found this place.

Pretty good breakfast sandwich, er, excuse me, bagel. I would have given it 4 starts instead of 3 but the person who delivered my order just plopped it down on the table and walked away. Not sure if they are trying in instill a New York street passerby attitude or if that's just normal. Would have been nice to hear, "Here's your order, do you need anything else?" or some other friendly comment. Believe it or not, Carl's Jr employees say that when they deliver your burger. Since this place costs a little more, I expected a friendlier response. So, enough of that rant. Breakfast bagel was very good, select your type of bagel and what your want on it. Be careful of being too creative with your bagel-to-contents selection as you might wind up with a very strange tasting meal. Fountain drinks for free refills - Thank you and always appreciated. General eating area and bathroom (Men's) was clean and that's good for this area. Lots of interesting to strange looking people walking by and you are right on Sepulveda. Worth a try if you're in the area and are in need of a bagel, not too far of a walk from the Westchester Car Wash if you've dropped your car off. Hope you enjoy it!

A little on the expensive side but the food is fresh. Tried a regular egg and cheese on whole grain. Pretty bomb. Good bagel flavor selection. Just make sure you get the juice you want cuz the Pure brand is $7.50!

Whether it be shipping a bird for SDZSP, transporting a kid or going on a trip...I always stop here!! Besides the amazing bagels, they have the best Iced Coffee Bar with Cubsta!! The staff is always amazingly friendly and patient when you can't decide among all if the wonderful choices!!

Here's yet another case of a place that opened to much fanfare & adoration, and although I immediately bookmarked it as a place to try it took eons to make the 1 mile pilgrimage. Go figure. On this first visit, I ordered a corn muffin, rye bagel with cream cheese, and a coffee. The corn muffin was not at all to my liking, but the bagel was very good, as was the coffee. I would probably stick to the bagels on my next visit. The service is very friendly, although I somehow managed to walk out of the store without my bagel.

  • V K.

I like this place, I really do. I don't like it enough for 4 stars, but it's a solid bagel place. I get there early (before 8am) so I've always been able to find street parking right out front. Lines are generally short at that time, and service is a little slow but not bad. Seating has never been an issue when I'm there. They have an awesome coffee buffet! This is the best part, in my opinion. You can also see them making bagels in the back, which is entertaining for my kid for a minute or two. The things I don't like: prices are a little high for what you get. The everything bagel is soooo salty it's gross. Their veggie cream cheese just isn't that good. The sesame bagel is ok but needs a more thorough coat of sesame seeds in my opinion. I much prefer the sesame bagel and veggie cream cheese at East Coast Bagel in the marina (and I'm pretty sure it's cheaper there).

The nova lox bagel's a far cry from the kind you'll get in New England, but it'll do the trick. The asiago bagel inside is bright yellow, to my surprise. I am not sure why, but it's a bit tough. Luckily, there's plenty of lox inside to overlook the toughness. The cream cheese is okay, but nothing to write home about. Add a couple of frozen hash browns (McDonald's are better), and you'll pay about $11. Service is slow if you eat in. Your food will take about 10 minutes. It should be noted the cashiers are also the ones to deliver the food to the table and are the ones to wipe the tables. If there is a long line, both tasks will be neglected, especially if there are many to-go orders, which take precedence over anything else. Many of the tables hadn't been wiped when I arrived and by the time I was done eating, they still hadn't been wiped. The one nice thing about this place is that there's a free parking lot in the back. You cannot enter this restaurant from the back - you'll need to walk along the sidewalk of the small one-way street. There's a few tables outside as well. If you want a nova lox bagel near LAX, this is the only place to be!

I'm a Starbucks fan. I find myself at one of their several locations more often than not. On Monday, I tired Brooklyn Bagels iced coffee on Monday. I was in route to work and decided to swoop in. OMGOODNESS! I had their INFUSION blend with hazelnut cream. I was set for the rest of the day/evening. LOVE...LOVE...LOVE it!

They have a fantastic smoked salmon sandwich! Reasonably priced as well. They have quality coffee made with clean water, which is important seeing as coffee is made mostly of water. Not to mention they have more than 5 different choices.

I'm sorry,I wanted to like this place but the bagel I ate was no better than a supermarket one.. I opted for plain bagel w/the salmon cream cheese spread. This took my bagel charge to dam near $4, which I didn't care about but the taste was absolutely not on par with a $4 bagel situation.. That spread, ruined my life! I'm sorry.. (think canned salmon, liquid smoke, cream cheese, salt, umm and something kinda sweet.. I dunno :-\ but it scared me.. Drive past it Every day. Won't be back!

If you are used to real NY/NJ bagels, you might be disappointed. $5 for an egg and cheese bagel is crazy and they stopped carrying cheddar cheese. 9am on a Saturday morning and they only have 4-5 varieties of bagels telling me it is a 20 minute wait for a plain bagel. It doesn't matter where the water came from, these bagels are weak and overpriced.

  • Yeah Y.

To me, a New York bagel is the perfect combination of chewy and fluffy. I wanted to believe in Brooklyn Water Bagel Co, but unfortunately their bagels as well as my experience there disappointed. Not a bad bagel if you haven't had the real thing, but definitely not that New York goodness I was craving. I ordered a toasted bagel and it was only moderately warm. I had to walk up and ask for it after seeing it just sit in the window for minutes without anyone bringing it to me. The interior is also super chain-feeling. Meh.

  • Angela A.

Not a bad bagel joint. Kids loved their breakfast bagels with plenty of eggs, cheese and sausage. The bacon, however, came as bacon bits instead of pieces of bacon like we were looking forward to. Toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese was crisp and delicious. Our call in order took only 10 min as promised. Only turn off was crumbs and pieces of bread all over the floor. Not sure why they can't be on top of something as simple as ongoing cleaning, especially during busy mornings.

If I am ever near LAX this is the SPOT to stop at... I dont care if im late for a flight or to pick someone up.... Helllllooooo Iced Coffee ICE CUBES!!!! Of course the bagles are delish with the HUGE amount of cream cheese ( whats not to love about a ton of cream cheese?) the bagels have a nice crisp outter layer and a super soft inner ... come try em for yourself. ... and dont forget the Iced Coffee.

Living in Downey there are no real bagel stores, sure we Porto's and other bakeries but they never met my bagel needs. Now that I come to LAX once a week The Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. is my first stop. The staff is friendly, efficient and most important the bagels are the best around.

I really love this place! If you're looking for a cheap, casual breakfast Brooklyn water bagels is the place to go! The bagels are delicious-soft and chewy with a bit of a crunch on the outside. I've had about every kind of bagel here and they're all great. My favorite is the cinnamon rasin. The bagel sandwiches are good too. The best part about BWB is their iced coffee-you make it yourself and there are about a billion different types of coffee, milk, flavorings that you can add.

Loyal customer since grand opening. Owner getting greedy and keeps raising prices 1 lg coffee and 1 bagel/egg sandwich over 9 bucks ! No parking. Slow service. Poor selection of sweets Beware. Greed= soon to be exempt Dude it's westchester not Beverly hills

Perfect place to start your day. I've been here several times and usually avoid weekends, as I've waited close to 30 minutes for breakfast once. Weekday mornings seem to be more chill. If you like iced coffee beverages, this is the place for you. They have several self-serve coffee stations to choose from, and the greatest thing ever: an ice cube dispenser made of iced coffee instead of water!

  • Yen S.

I went to the original location in Beverly Hills during the La Marathon a couple years ago and thought it was fantastic. When I heard about this location, which is closer to me, I got super excited. The bagels are fresh and not too chewy. I love the flavor of the whitefish salad. The sliced nova is also delicious. I often feel like the BH location may give more filling in my Bagelwiches but that's just a hunch. In any case, this place is awesome for bagels, nova, whitefish, and of course the Cubsta iced coffee with coffee cubes. And I'm not just saying that because they will give me a free 24 oz iced coffee if I write a review...haha.

This is a really convenient bagel store next to LAX on Sepulveda, about a mile away. They have an extensive selection of bagel choices, bagel sandwiches, coffee types, juices and soda fountain drinks. The choices may actually overwhelm you, so if you're indecisive you may want to stand to the side before going up to the register. The self service soda and coffee area is an excellent example. I ordered coffee, and there were about 8 different types of coffee you could fill your cup with both hot and cold as well as those cappucino machines. Big surprise: They also offer coffee ice cubes for your iced coffee so it won't water down your drink! Pretty clever - I may come here for my coffee fix from now on. Also of note, they have egg cream soda, something I've only heard about but have never tried. I think it's very New Yorker, so it's really rare to see that here. The bagels themselves are thick and chewy, they have plenty of schmears to spread on them as well. Parking in back with shared lot or in front along Sepulveda. They accept credit cards but the machine wasn't working so only took cash, but I don't think that's usually the case.

I was impressed with their bagels! I am from New York, so I am always looking for a NY style bagel. This place did it! It must be the water. I ordered two bagelwiches - whitefish salad and slices nova and cream. Both were very good, but the whitefish was the best. I found the bagels to have he perfect balance of soft and crispy. The staff members were very friendly and greeted me when I walked in the door. I was told there would be a 10-15 minute wait for my food, but it was ready within 5 minutes. You can also watch them make the bagels from scratch.

  • Sandra B.

I am sure that they don't need my review on top of the many faithful followers but here goes anyway...I am always always always on the hunt for my favorite kind of bagel...that nice golden color on the outside, chewy with a bit of a bite to it and soft inside...never ever needing to be toasted, perfect as is with my favorite schmear...sometimes lox & tomato, sometimes cucumber, always fresh. Yes there has always been a line out the door when I have gone here, but the wait goes quickly, the staff is kind, and it's just worth it if you enjoy a really good bagel as much as I do.

  • Jose S.

Craving coffee but tired of Starbucks? Then this is your one stop shop ! & the coffee cubes..need I say more? Brilliant idea ! My iced coffee never gets dull & watered down anymore. My favorite item off the menu has to be the protein omelette or the sliced nova sandwich Service is always friendly & fast, even on their hectic weekends.

I was craving a delicious bagel that we tried in NY, so I did some yelp search. This one popped up and based on the review, we wanted to give a try. We went there little past noon, so it was not too busy. We ordered a sliced salmon baglewich on everything bagel, asiago bagel with scallion spread and cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry spread. In my opinion, they were okay. My husband thinks that the bagel was less chewy/dense than other bagel shops in LA and it is more "springy." However, to me, I didn't really feel the difference between this place versus Noah's bagel. Maybe my expectation for this place was too high or expecting to have the exactly the same bagels that I tried in NY. I still think that their bagels are pretty good, but it just didn't meet my NY bagel expectation. Food: 3 stars Service: 3 stars Atmosphere: 3 stars Overall: 3 stars

Went there yesterday to get two sandwiches on the road. Was a bit shocked of the high price (about 10 bucks a sandwich). Also, the discription listed mayonaise but did not taste any. There was definitely musterd on there though, which was not listed. Staff was friendly though. All in all just an average experience. Will go elsewhere for lunch in the future though.

This place doesn't want your business. Do Not order by phone or you'll be put on hold and forgotten about. They hand out free samples in the parking lot but when you go inside the restaurant it literally takes 7 to 10 minutes from the time you order till the time the kitchen reads the order. I just don't have 15 minutes to wait for a simple toasted plane bagel or pay almost 6 dollars for a bagel with some powdered egg and bacon bit mixture in it. No bargains here. There are many places very close by that REALLY want your business. Try the noodle place just 50 feet north of this stale, expensive bagel place. Or a decent chicken bowl right behind this overpriced soda joint. Go to Olive It and get a REAL deli Sandwich(about 100 feet east). Believe me, folks, the bagels here really aren't that great. There used to be an ice cream place around here that went belly up because of the long wait and high prices that are still evident in this latest tenant. I imagine it won't be long till these guys go under, too.

I was really looking forward to an excellent bagel place, but this place is just okay. First, you'll notice that they advertise Larry King like nobody's business. He's on the their sign outside the story, his name is on a few items, geez! Anyway, I went on a Wednesday morning around 10 and they were out of my first 2 choice bagels: Everything and whole wheat everything. I feel that a bagel shop should never run out of bagels, especially in the morning, and especially such commonly ordered bagels. I ended up getting an asiago bagel with cream cheese and it was okay. They didn't put nearly enough cream cheese as I had hoped and there wasn't too much asiago cheese on it. They did have a ton of coffee options though, even though I didn't get coffee.

Thank you Yelp for pointing me to this noshery of nosheries. Super authentic water processed bagels (means they're boiled and THEN baked). Chewy outside, tender inside and Oy! The flavor! Whitefish salad really good, not too salty. Schmears great. And there is an amazing coffee bar including iced coffee and--get ready-- an ice machine that makes COFFEE ICE CUBES! It's called the Cubsta. Love. Omg is this a bagelry or Heaven? Also they now offer cold pressed juice and omelettes so all dietary bases are covered.

I love coming to this place if I happen to be up early enough :) They serve a variety of bagels and spreads as well as bagel sandwiches. They also serve breakfast platters and have a coffee "bar." The coffee bar is a long row of self serve hot and iced coffee. They have regular coffees as well as flavored ones. They have milk dispensers that have whole milk, non fat etc. My FAVORITE thing is the ice cubes made of frozen coffee. Because the ice cubes are made of coffee instead of water, your coffee doesn't get diluted as the ice cubes melt!

I love their crispy and chewy bagels and enjoy them on a weekly basis since this place is on my way to work. The everything bagel is my favorite. I often order the protein or cheese omelette which comes with two hash browns and a bagel. The quality of the food is really hit or miss. Some days I receive a perfectly cooked omelette with fresh hash browns and other days I get a burned omelette with stale hash browns. I wish the food quality were more consistent! Stick with the bagels. You have been warned about the omelette quality.

One morning, I stopped in at Brooklyn Water Bagels to see what all the hype was about. I found limited street parking as it's on Sepulveda near the airport but ample parking in the rear parking as most of the other businesses weren't open yet. The service was great as the counter staff was patient - I mention that because I wanted to understand what made their bagels better or different than other bagel joints. Friendly as they seemed to genuinely enjoy talking about their product as well as the process. Professional as I witnessed one of the staff's interaction with someone who looked to be homeless. As for the bagels, I went for one of their sandwiches as well as one of their bottles of water. I have to admit, I didn't hate their bagels however, neither did I love it. I will say that the bagel was tasty and not raw or over cooked. It just didn't knock the pants off of me. It's close to home. I'll drop by again to see if I find anything that changes my initial opinion.

We've been coming for weekend breakfast since it opened, but sadly this place has quickly gone down hill. Upon arriving today I noticed it not only now has a B rating, but the place is an utter mess. None of the tables we cleaned and the floor and coffee area looked like a disaster area. Too bad, we liked this place...oh well...time to find a new place!

They have great iced coffee. I love the whole coffee cubes idea. I tried the egg, bacon & cheese sandwich. It was alright. Definitely will go back for the iced coffee though!

Finally found bagels that taste like the real thing! They have a good variety of cream cheeses too. I LOVE their breakfast sandwiches (I usually get the ham, egg and cheese) and their new subs are pretty tasty too. Not a coffee drinker, but they have a good variety to choose from and you can make your own per your liking. Not really a place to eat in, but would recommend the food if you want a quick breakfast bite or sando. Definitely order by phone so you can avoid waiting in a long line during breakfast/lunch times.

Best bagels and sandwiches. Love the cherry syrup to add to coke. Good coffee. It's not the cheapest place in town but there is just something about the bagels and bread that can't be matched. It's soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. Service is fast

Stopped in for breakfast twice now and this place is unbelievable! One of the best bagels ive had. Additionally, a few little things that made all the difference: 1) two slices of cheese on the sandwich 2)ice cubes made of coffee for the iced coffees. HIGHLY recommended.

The bagels are phenomenal, but the real deal is the ice coffee and brooklyn water. Honestly I've never had better water in my life, and I've never had much of an issue with addictions but that iced coffee has me jones ing every single morning.

I'm uppin' it a star for Brooklyn Water Bagels (LAX). Gave them another shot this morning since they open early (0530hrs). Walked in to grab a breakfast bagel before work. The breakfast bagel I got (rye bagel with the sausage, American cheese and egg) was delish. The coffee (Larry King blend, medium roast) was good also with the added hazelnut creamer. BWB...I want to love you because your breakfast bagel was awesome but your prices are still expensive. If I buy in moderation, I should be okay. See you again in a few weeks.

Personally I don't understand where did the idea to charge $8-$9 for a bagel sandwich came from, and I have no problem paying $9 dollars for a great bagel sandwich, but once again, I was disappointed, just like any other bagel shops. The expectation is huge, the taste is mediocre to say the least. There is a small cash only place in the valley on Riverside and Fulton, their sandwiches on bagel or croissant are half the price but three times more flavor. I'm sure there are a lot of places like that and everyone has their favorite. So, service was great, sandwiches are just ok.

I actually never had a desire to stop in BWB even though I pass it everyday on the way to work. However, my curiosity got the best of me one weekend and I had to see what the place was all about. I guess I was expecting the typical bagel shop with all of the bagels in wire baskets on display behind glass, but this isn't how BWB is set up. They don't have a huge variety of bagels and they are all behind the registers and cashiers. First impression is that there is a lot going on, and not necessarily in a good way. After reading through the menu I decided on the caprese sandwich and iced coffee. I made my way to the drink area, and by golly, it's intense. While I appreciate all the various flavors of hot and cold coffees, flavored milk machines, and flavored ice cubes, I'm pretty simple when it comes to my coffee. I'll take it black on non-flavored ice or non-flavored hot dark roast, only if there is no espresso around. I figured like most things, the sandwich wasn't going to look like the display photo. On the contrary, it looked even better than the photo. I took a bite and to my surprise it was delicious! The fresh bread the sandwich was on didn't tear apart the roof of my mouth, the mozzarella was thickly cut, and there was just enough fresh basil and tomato. On another occasion I came in before work and tried to get the same sandwich, but was informed that they don't start serving it until 10:00 am. Bummer! I instead went with the egg, cheese, and spinach on onion bagel. Eh, I won't be ordering it again. The bagel was nothing special the rest of the counterparts were much to be desired even when doused with hot sauce. I will keep coming back just for the sandwich, however, not on a weekday!

There are a lot of sad, dry, stale bagels in L.A. There aren't a lot of fresh, chewy, delicious bagels. That is why there's a long line at Brooklyn Water Bagel. I had a nova sliced bagel sandwich on onion (asked for everything but they had run out). It was $9, but it was good! If you're not a bagel-lover, don't bother, because you won't get it. If you are a bagel-lover but your dining companion is vegan or gluten-free... Bring that party-pooper anyway. There's a fruit cup you can order on Sat/Sun, and they sell some cold-pressed juice that looks good. I didn't see the price, so I'm going to assume it's $8-$12.

Really good sandwiches and bagels! The bread they use on the sandwiches is probably one of the best tasting pieces of bread I've ever eaten. I never get the sandwiches though as they are really pricey! Like really pricey. I can't really justify spending $12-13 on a sandwich regardless of how good the bread is. For a little while when they opened they gave out free samples of the sandwiches and that's when I tried them but due to the price of one I've never actually ordered a full sandwich. The bagels are delicious and I have come here often to buy them. One thing I have learned though is to call and ask if they have the ones I'm looking for available as I am not an early riser and many times I have gone there and they were out of what I wanted (everything, Asiago, garlic). Seriously though why not make more of the ones that sell out? Every time I wanted everything and they were out they had dozens of whole grain everything but no regular. One other gripe is that the cream cheese is expensive and they don't usually pack smaller containers. One container is usually $4-5 and on rare occasions I've been able to get one around $3.50 but I really don't need that much cream cheese for my 2-3 bagels and it is annoying they don't have some smaller ones for $2-3. The breakfast bagel sandwich I had there was mediocre. It was good but crazy cheesy, I asked about it and they said they put like 4 slices of cheese on, way too much! I scraped off 3 slices and it was still too much cheese. I will still be going back for the tasty bagels when I feel like getting a morning treat but with the prices as high as they are I'm definitely not a regular even though I live 2 minutes away and have been coming since it opened.

Delicious food... super nice staff. We use them for catering events and they're very fairly priced and the service and food is always top notch. Bagels are wonderful here (of course), but I think the real sleeper star of the show are the muffins. Delicious! They do close at 4, so keep that in mind. I really recommend this place for breakfast or lunch if you're in Westchester.

Bagels from New York are the best and one of the main reasons why is the water. Just like New York pizza, bagels in New York are made with water from there. Water treated in New York is different than how it's treated here so the result is a different taste in baked goods. Hence the idea behind Brooklyn Water Bagels. The supposedly have a machine that "Brooklynizes" the water used to make these bagels. I ordered an asiago jalapeño donut with scallion smear. The bagel was pretty good but not has tough on the exterior like a New York bagel. However, this bagel was the best asiago bagel I have had on the west coast. They put in a very generous portion of smear and the scallion smear was delicious. So this place is no Murray's but I'm a believer. I would definitely come back again to try something else. Service was good and quick. Parking is free on the street or in the lot in the back.

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! A coworker brought these in for work. An east coast coworker said they were legit. They were nice and firm on the outside without being hard. The inside was soft without being overly chewy. Their veggie cream cheese and chive cream cheese were the bees knees. And it's close to work. Might have to make early morning runs.

The bagels are so, so good. But I am genuinely curious about why it takes 20 minutes to put together a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel. The service is just painfully slow.

I've given them a chance by going back a bunch of times, on different days of the week and at different times. Fully 90% of the time, they don't have their varieties of bagels in stock. You can't say you specialize in a particular product, then fail to keep the product in stock, and expect to keep your customers happy. Goodbye, Brooklyn Water Bagel, it's been (not much) fun.

Randomly stopped here on my lunch break after seeing the big bagel a thousand times since I work in the area. :) SO GLAD I DID!! I got a bacon ham egg and cheese EVERYTHING bagel with avocado added OMG and this strawberry paradise organic juice DELISH! Total 10$ but well worth it! Customer service was great everyone was friendly & being my first time he had no problem explaining the menu or suggesting items. They have a variety of bagels, sandwiches, omelets, cookies, muffins, pizza melts, coffee & cream cheese ! Hours are 5:30am till 4pm. Took some menus back to work & I'm sure the word will get around. I DEFINITELY am going back soon!

I'm only giving this place five-stars because they are as close to a NYC bagel as I've gotten since coming back from NY. They also have an awesome selection of pour it yourself coffee and wait for it....COFFEE ICE CUBES! If that isn't enough of a reason for you to go, idk what is. The first time we went there it was extremely confusing to find because the parking lot in the "triangle" has a huge inflatable bagel pointing in a weird direction, but the actual location is in front of the parking lot so you can walk through the alley and make a left. It's usually pretty crowded and their bagel sandwiches are awesome and I'd have one anytime! A great place for breakfast, lunch or a mid-afternoon pick me up!

Anyone that knows me know I'm pretty tough on NY food made or served in other parts of the country. I've gotten used to calling Noah's a decent " bagel like" food. Deli in the Bay Area and for the most part is a travesty Miller's on Post isn't bad. Their bagels come from Long Island, but all in all if not found in the North East, parts of the terrible state of Florida and L.A. Or Chicago it just sucks. I was told The Original Brooklyn Water bagel Company is a find. Down in LA visiting my family over by LAX and was told to try it. I would say the water bagels and the egg bagels rate from good to very good on any scale. I know LA tends to have pretty good Jew-food because there are a lot of my folks down here and I mean the authentic kind of Jew. Not the diluted Jewish population in The Bay Area where I live. We had plain bagels with lox and cream cheese yesterday and it was very good. Fresh, warm bagel, well built sandwich. So I bought half a dozen assorted and all were good. Here's a tip don't buy a salt bagel unless you plan to eat it right then. The salt will melt into the bagel and it's gross. The coffee was pretty good and they actually have a U-bet dispenser in the soda machine to make egg creams. Very cool. Went back today and bought a dozen bagels and lox/cream cheese spread. Good everything bagel. They have some Brooklyn water tank that claims to turn the water into Brooklyn water. Not sure what that means except maybe someone from Brooklyn threatens and insults it and says things like "you think you're good water?!?" Fau'wget" about-it"" you ain't Brooklyn water. Or something like that. Very good customer service which is always nice to see and not something you see every day. One complaint. If I ask you to slice the bagels, slice them, if they aren't sliced when I get home I can tell. But that's about the worst I can say. I understand it's a franchise so if you have a chance at one, depending what part of the country your in, could be a good investment. The foods not cheap but it's barely worth mentioning. What is cheap today that is of any kind of decent quality? Nothing.

This is the REAL DEAL! Best bagels I've had since leaving the East coast. You can even get Brooklyn bottled water from their drink dispensers. Get there early when they're piping hot for a special treat.

Seriously, i couldn't pay someone enough to do the job of messing up orders more frequently than these jokers do. They have buttons for every possible combination of an order on their little touchpad computers. Scooped, toasted, 2x toasted, no tomatoes, no onions, 2x onions, literally everything. And they repeat your order back to you in perfect synchronicity. But time and time again they blow it. 2x toasted means the bagel should at the very least be warm... save a few dark marks i think. Its pitiful and hella aggravating. So you ask why do i keep subjecting myself to the dissatisfaction? Well, the coffee is good, and there isn't much around LAX to get a bagel and lox. But I'm at the point of giving up. They suck.

Came in Saturday morning by request of my coworkers who wanted Brooklyn Water Bagels for our work meeting and I was the one in charge for stopping by to pick them up. One word: YUM! For my first time here, I wasn't sure if I should expect a long line, long wait, or what service to receive. Came in and ordered 13 bagels (since they "don't" sell them by the dozen for large orders). I had a variety of choices with Plain, Blueberry, Everything, Cinnamon Raisin, Asiago, Garlic, Sesame, Whole Wheat, etc. with also my choice of different spreads. The woman over the counter was really nice, helpful, and patient as like I mentioned, it was my first time. Overall, I was in and out of the place in 5 minutes with bag full of bagels and spreads. My coworkers and I really enjoyed them and I will definitely run by this place again soon.

This review is about the sandwiches. This is the worst sandwich place you can go to. I tried their tuna sandwich and it was very dry. No taste at all. To top it off the price tag on that was $10. Don't get fooled with their "delicious sandwich" sign they have outside.

I am from CT where delicious water bagels are the norm. To my dismay, I have been unable to find anything close to a CT bagel, let alone a Brooklyn one. However, this place really does everything in their power to make amazing warm fresh bagels. They match the water chemical composition to that in BK, but even better- their bagel selection is extensive! I got an amazing garlic bagel with the appropriate amount of garlic chunks, and perfect texture! To top it all off, this place has amazinggg iced coffee with a variety of flavors. They even have coffee ice cubes, so your coffee doesn't get watered down! I live in Downtown Culver City, but this place is definitely worth the trip! Go during the week when lines aren't bad, I imagine there is one out the door on the wkends.

Day after Christmas and all the good mom and pop sub shops were closed. Craving a sandwich I tried the Brooklyn. Not good by far. Guy making sandwich clearly doesn't give a shit. Hardly any mayo or dressing. Bread was hard. No other choice during the holidays. I'm sure their bagels and such are good. Sandwiches aren't. Every available table was filthy while the employees were laughing and having a good time in the back. Had to ask to have tables cleaned. Doubt I'll return. Larry would be pissed!

I have had lunch here a few times and I have had breakfast here a few times too. Its a decent and convenient place. The bagels and bread are made on site every day. The service is always consistent and great most of the times. The real draw for me here is the iced coffee. It is the first time that I have had iced coffee made with frozen coffee iced cubes. Mix that with the cold Kahlua blend and it's so good! I usually get that and a muffin and I'm done for the day. Customers are supposed to pour their own hot or cold coffee here and there are unlimited free refills while eating in the place. I have never heard of this before as its apparently an East Coast kind of thing. The directions on how to make it are right there on the wall. You pump your own chocolate syrup (two pumps), pump about an inch of milk and then using the soda fountain you fill it with seltzer water until it foams over. Stir and take a big drink, like chocolate soda! It's so good and perfect on a hot day. The only downside to this place is that sometimes they can get really busy on weekend mornings and the line is at least ten people deep. I am not surprised though, I expect this place to become even more popular in the last months.

Brooklyn Water Bagels are like Brooklyn accents: Thick 'n Hard ... Jay-Z would be proud. Thank you, thank you, thank you, you're far too kind Now can I get an encore, do you want more Bakin' blah with the Brooklyn agua So for one last time I need y'all to adore Now what the hell are you waitin' for After bagels, there shall be no more So for one last time, yelpah make some noise My wife surprised me with a half dozen Brooklyn Water bagels. It was a mix of Plain, Sesame, Onion, and Jalapeno Asiago. They were consistent, so, the water really must make a difference ... 'cause they were consistently hard. Like Larry King, these bagels are meant to survive till the end-of-time. I think I like my bagels the way Larry now likes his food: softer and chewier. Brooklyn Water Bagels weren't the worst bagels o' all-time. That honor goes to Vons; however, you can't spell Brooklyn without "OK" and Brooklyn Water Bagels were just OK.

I gave this place 3 tries, but three strikes and you are out...way out!!! The water? Really? If it was the water, I would be importing water from back east to every restaurant west of NY. They should make a bagel with L.A. Water so I can compare, because their bagels need work. I'm not a bagel expert but I eat a lot of them. It must be the water that makes these bagels chewy and rubber like. I also feel like this place is now a big chain and every time I've been there the quality has not been there. Today I had the egg white, spinach, mushroom, bagel sandwich, no flavor at all, and I really really felt like the eggs were cooked in the microwave, I do not like feel that, because if I feel it, it's true... Just because Larry king is owner or investor, it does not make the bagels better either unless he know something about bagels we all don't. The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because a lot of my people from back east love it and think it's the best bagel place on earth, but it's not, I think it just reminds them of home and the fact that it has Brooklyn in the name makes it feel like home to them, but I don't buy it... I like the bagel factory on Robertson Blvd. bagels taste fresh, local, friendly and great selection of soups too. I think they make their bagels with L.A. Water. So my question is " What makes Brooklyn water Bagel better than the Bagel Factory" please educate me...the water is not enough...

I got the protein bagel and it tasted great, especially since it had spinach, mushrooms and tomatoe. However, the chicken wasn't that great and I expected sliced chicken to come with it; instead, it came with chicken cubes cook with eggs and other ingredients like an omelette. The iced coffee was good, variety of flavors to choose from and they had coffee iced cubes instead of regular iced cubes, that way, it won't water down my coffee (what a great idea! And it's my first time ever experience such thing). The bathrooms were clean and condiments were in the back of the restaurant.

Stumbled upon this place and it is SO COOL. You can get bagels or breakfast sandwiches plus their awesome COFFEE BAR. I opted for a simple lox on an onion bagel with chive cream cheese and tomato and onion which was awesome. The coffee bar allows you to pick what kind of roast you want plus creamer and the ice cubes are frozen coffee cubes which is brilliant. Also, the employees were SO nice. It makes a big difference when someone is smiling and happy to be there and help you. This place was packed - no surprise why! Final conclusion: we need these in the Bay!

I was first introduced to Brooklyn Water Bagels when I was running the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in 2011. The course had you running right by it... but during that time who's gonna be stopping for bagels? Besides they were closed. Fast forward to 2012's Rock n Roll Half Marathon and I run by this place again. (Near USC) I'm never there so I still haven't been able to try this place. Lucky for me, Brooklyn Water bagel decides to open up in Westchester! Good news! I found out they were opened there because of Yelp. I came here this morning and viola here I am today. :D So.. what you're reading this review to find out: First, there's plenty of parking for this place. IF you haven't been here before there's lots of parking behind the store. Second, when I got here around 8 on a Sunday morning there were a few people in the store already. Popular place! I checked in on Yelp and there's a check in special "50 free Coffee with purchase" I showed this to the person taking my order but he didn't know what that meant. He asked someone else and he says I had to activate it.. so I clicked "Redeem now" and showed him that NOW it was activated. I wasn't too sure what the check in special meant either so he just gave me a free cup of coffee. I ordered the Egg and Cheese Bagel for $3.49. You can add Bacon, Ham, or Sausage to it and it'll come out to $3.99. The bagels you have to choose from are: Plain, Whole Wheat, Multigrain, Whole Wheat Everything, Black Russian Pumpernickel, Onion, Flagel, Poppy, Sesame, Cinnamon Raisin, Garlic, Everything, Rye, or Asiago. I went with the garlic and boy there were TONS of garlic on it. We also got the plain bagel with cream cheese for $2.19 although you could also get your bagel with Butter for $1.69, Peanut Butter $2.19, Nova Spread $3.29, Vegetable cream cheese $2.99, or Scallion cream cheese for $2.99. There are tons of other breakfast options including muffins and omelettes and other types of egg sandwiches.. or if you're here for lunch there's bagel sandwiches as well as melts. Also they have GIGANTIC cookies about the size of your head. With the coffee options there were TONs. About as many coffee options as there are choices for bagels. Have your pick. The plain bagel with cream cheese was good. New York Native approved (not me, my dining companion). Bagels were made great. I liked my sausage egg and cheese bagel, and they didn't skimp on the eggs. Check out the picture I uploaded! The egg was almost an inch thick! Brooklyn Water bagel is a much better breakfast choice compared to Noah's Bagel. I'll definitely be back!

I have been here many times now for breakfast and lunch and it's great. Coffee and a bagel has become a weekend ritual. Everything is always delicious and even when they're busy the food comes out quickly. They need to do a better job cleaning tables though. We always end up having to wipe them off ourselves.

This review is for visibility for the management team. The food is good but I waited 18 minutes for my order of four bagels. That is unacceptable. Half of the food was cold. I spoke to an employee and she realized I was waiting a while and he did not do anything to help my order come out.

When this spot first opened I was excited to try it but was let down by a dozen hard and stale blueberry bagels that I bought. Not wanting to believe that this place was a complete failure, I gave them another try and was very happy. The key to enjoying this place is coming as early in the morning as possible when everything is fresh and being restocked. If you do come early enough you'll find that when fresh, their bagels have a pretty good chew to them. Much better than the nonsense they peddle at Noah's or Einstein bagels. I usually get their egg and cheese bagel sandwich toasted on either a plain or blueberry bagel. I used to rely on East Coast Bagels in Marina Del Rey for my bagel sandwich fix, but Brooklyn Water makes a better sandwich hands down. Everybody that works at this place is always extremely pleasant and friendly. You can tell that management stresses this because after having been here about 15 times, their friendliness hasn't faded at all. They have a large selection of coffee that I have yet to try but I plan on doing so at some point. There is plenty of parking in the back. I'm very happy that there is a legitimate bagel place in LA because it used to be that the only good bagels were all located in New York.

I come here every weekend! Best coffee and bagels! They also have an unlimited coffee bar that you can keep filling up before you leave. Bagels are fresh everyday and never disappoint!

I'm a driver so I'm always on the go always grabbing the quickest bite so I can get back to work fast. I went in and tried this place for the first time early Saturday morning. I ordered the spinach and mushroom omlet with 2 hash browns. I got a water, coffee, and a bagel all for less then $12!! All I have to say is WOW!!! SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS!!! The guy at the counter was super helpful and his attitude was off the charts awsome! This is my new spot for everything from now on when I'm working the airport!!! Can't say enough good things. That breakfast made my morning no joke. Thanks guys!!

Update. First time I came here I gave 3 stars. 1 star for bad service. And 5 stars for the sandwich. 3 star total. And I was being generous This time service was better but still wasn't great. Pick it up because your food is really good. I love the bread here. It's delicious. The turkey sandwich is fantastic. I can't have enough but I feel almost guilty eating here because of the lackluster service. Just act like you care. Smile and be nice and attentive. It's really not that hard to ask. Management should do better and train their employees. Cmon now Anyways. The sandwich this time was 9/10 It's very good. Turkey is very good. Better than some sandwich places near me the bread is PERFECT. I hope everyone who comes here for the bagels try the bread. It's sooooo good. So overall. I had a better experience but I'll come back and judge the service. If by the third time their bad....then expect two stars. Bad service is UNACCEPTABLE to me in my book :) in be the judge of that next time.

The bagels are ok. They microwave the eggs for the egg bagels but I think that is an industry wide practice. The reason I'm writing this review is that this OBWB serves the WORST COFFEE I have ever tried. There is no coffee flavor to it at all. I tried 4 of their different types of coffee. Every single one of them had no coffee flavor. It was water that was colored brown. I told the manager about the coffee lacking any flavor. He said something about the new process they were using had affected the flavor. He also said the "headquarters was fixing it." I guess shitty coffee is a company wide problem. He didn't offer to give me a refund. He told me to try the dark roast because that had some flavor to it. Apparently they knew the coffee sucked but were still willing to sell it. They sell their coffee for $3 a cup. For that kind of money I expect to get a really good cup of coffee. Instead I got the shaft. I'll never know if "headquarters" fixed the problem because I'm never going back to to the Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Company again.

The first time I came here, this location had just opened. I was bringing my mom to the airport and since she loves this chain, we decided to eat at this location instead of our usual Brooklyn Bagel (near USC). It was a complete disaster- the food was cold, stale, soggy and they brought us the wrong order. What's worse is that the supposed manager argued with us about it. Claimed we asked for cream cheese (yuck with asiago) and then tried to charge us $2 for the 2 pieces of cheese. He came up with this number, mind you, off of the top of his head because there were "two pieces of cheese." Seriously, how hard is it to double toast an asiago bagel and put Swiss cheese on it, like we requested? The cheese costs the restaurant like 5 cents, the time you are wasting arguing about this and the risk of losing loyal customers by causing a huge scene is much more valuable than two pieces of freakin cheese! Anyway, I digress.. Eventually, a nice woman came over (I assumed she was the head of management or the chain owner) and she was very understanding and professional. She had our order redone and also gave us a fresh muffin on the house for our hardship. She was the only reason why I even considered going back. Recently I moved to the west side. I had been avoiding this place like it was the bubonic plague or something, but I dropped my gf off this morning at LAX and I was really craving a bagel, so I stopped in. I had my dog with me, so I was going to just take my order to go bc the only table available outside was occupied. But- to my pleasant surprise, they went and got another table for me and set it up so I could eat outside. I was rather impressed at that feat by the employees, they didn't have to do that, but they did. A few mins later, my food came out (jalapeño asiago bagel, scooped, double toasted with Swiss cheese and sausage) and hash browns. It. Was. Bangin. All in all, I had a fantastic experience there today and will be going back. I'm really glad they got their act together- it seems as though they fired that other guy that tried to tell us off the previous time. I am a satisfied customer again. :) TL;DR: bad experience first time, "manager" was a jerk, so I didn't come back until today (a year gap) and was rather impressed with the food/service. I recommend this location.

Fantastic bagels and cream cheese. Great iced coffee. BUT Sandwiches are tiny. If you're expecting something like a jersey's mikes. Don't go. Sorry boys but a $8 sub that's tiny isn't worth it.

I lived in New York for 12 years. A true bagel is supposed to be have a chewy skin and dense almost meaty, interior. You're supposed to get at least twice as much spread on your bagel than you could possibly need. You're supposed to zip in and out in less than 10 mins. I ordered my usual: everything bagel toasted with veggie spread and a slice of tomato. Service was a little slow (especially for a NY-style bagel shop). Ambiance? Who cares. It's supposed to be a quick bite. I can't tell you how many bagel shops in Manhattan are holes in the wall and they serve up delicious bagels. Ok, the bagel: Very chewy skin. The density is above average for LA. Spread tasted very fresh. More veggie than cream cheese flavor which is different but good. Also not a ton of spread but I guess it cuts down on waste. Good balanced "everything" flavor seasoning. Not too much garlic, onion, or salt. All in all these are the best bagels I've had in LA so far and will be my go-to spot when I want bagels. Definitely better than New York Bagel Deli in Santa Monica. The coffee selection looks good and I'll def try the coffee ice cubes next time! Tip: If you want to get a "lighter" bagel, get it "scooped out". That's how we do in NY. Don't make the bagel itself less dense.

The bagels are a great blend of chewy and crunchy, b-fast sandwich is big and a good value. The iced Cubsta coffee...amazing! what a great idea. Cubes made from coffee. So much better than a Starbucks coffee snocone...

When I first moved to L.A. from New York I searched high and low for a good bagel spot. When I first heard of Brooklyn bagels I was doubtful; it just sounded took good to be true. After my first bagel, I was a believer! It was like being back in New York....almost.... 5 stars for LA bagel. Maybe 4 stars if it was in NYC. Mmmmm fresh baked everything bagel with cream cheese and lox! And don't forget to get some great iced coffee!

Brooklyn Water Bagels in LA is my new latest discovery. They use Brooklynized water to create the dough that becomes a tasty masterpiece of bagel yumminess. The Asiago bagel with scallion cream cheese is one of the best things on earth. The crispy goodness on the outside & the moist dough on the inside made my mornings extra special. The flavor of asiago is baked into the dough so it's in every bite. I loved it so much that I had a bagel each morning for the remaining of my trip. I hope I can find something similar in NY besides the basic sprinkled asiago cheese baked on top of a plain bagel, so boring now that I think about it. I didn't have the opportunity to try the different varieties of fun coffee flavors like Havana Banana because I love the lattes at Starbucks but hey, besides the great weather, now I have another reason why I need to make a fourth trip back to CA.

Message to the owner- you have created the closest thing there is to a New York bagel in Los Angeles. For this, I thank you. However, the amount of cream cheese that is applied to the bagel is a joke. I have visited this location 5 times and all 5 times, the amount of cream cheese that has donned the bagels would be considered "very light" in NYC. Please, up your cream cheese application. I would recommend two times the amount, but that's just wishful thinking.

Alright, I'm a fan. I didn't want to be at first. My first time there, we got off on a bad foot. But the bagels were good, and so I came back, and back. The breakfast sandwiches are where it's at. The iced coffee, they have multiple options AND the ice isn't water ice, but coffee ice?!?! Shut the front door! So I like the place. It's a nice change of pace from the multiple Starbucks on the block!

It can get really busy and because of that they run out of some of the more popular bagels (Asiago) but they try and keep the line moving and they have a pretty large line of bagel types and sandwiches. Also they have huge selection of cream cheeses.

I go here for breakfast all the time before work and the food and iced coffee are always awesome. I ran over for lunch today after the wait at another place was way too long, and even during lunch rush I got my bagel sandwich within minutes. This place is super consistent and always delicious.

Brooklyn Water Bagels is okay if you're in the area and want a bagel. I decided to check them out due to the buzz generated from my Yelp friends. Bagels are okay...average. I tried the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Bagel sandwich on a plain bagel. It was okay. I also tried the coffee. The self-serve coffee station looks really cool! It's stocked with a variety of flavors of both hot and iced coffees. There's even a coffee ice cube machine. I opted for hot coffee at first. But after filling up my cup with coffee, I realized it wasn't hot. It was LUKE WARM. Obviously a big disappointment for coffee enthusiasts like myself. So, I poured it out and tried the iced coffee instead. It was okay as well. Along the same lines a donut shop cup of Joe. I'm not sure if my visit was lackluster due to coming at lunch time. Maybe the morning hours are better here. I dunno...

I came back to meet a friend, and I was very happy to see how busy they are with the local customers. I ordered a reuben bagel sandwich and was satisfied afterwards. The flavor was great and I was completely full afterwards. The service is friendly and that goes a long way in my book.

Brooklyn Water Bagels is one of the better bagel shops here for many reasons! One of the major ones being that their bagels are nice and chewy but have a little bit of a crisp to them, as well. I ordered a bacon, egg whites, and (provolone) cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. It was so good! I'm always weary about getting eggs in a sandwich because I have a fear that it'll taste bland and be rubbery BUT I was pleasantly surprised by how fluffy the eggs were and the sandwich contained the perfect amount of bacon and cheese. The bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and a toasted plain bagel with cream cheese was around $8.50. Even though this is one of the more expensive bagel shops, the quality is great and I'll definitely be coming here again.

I come to this place to get my breakfast almost everyday. Today I wasn't very happy with the Service. I saw the cashier picking up the little containers where they serve the food. He did not even clean them and put back with the "cleans ones" I was in shock beac

I've passed by Brooklyn Water Bagels many times and I finally decided to walk in for a quick bagel and coffee for breakfast last weekend and I was super impressed and happy that I did. This establishment was super tidy, so much so I probably could have eaten my food off the floor (but I wouldn"t). The cashier, a young girl, was super exuberant and helpful, she kindly took my order and recommended the jalapeno asiago bagel. The bagel is to die for, seriously!! I also ordered the scallion cream cheese to go on top of my bagel and a coffee. The coffee station was breathtaking for a coffee fiend like myself. Brooklyn Water Bagels has about 6-8 coffees they offer, as well as iced coffee and different kinds of creamers. My bagel was chewy and decadent, with pieces of jalapeno running through it and shavings of asiago on top. The smear I choose complimented the bagel. My bagel was a perfect size, not too big or not small. It wasnt hard like other places and it tasted as though it had just come out of the oven and was NOT sitting in the basket all morning. I am totally sold on this place, check in on yelp and they offer a deal on a big order of bagels. Also, the restrooms were imaculate and so was the kitchen (there is a big window where you can watch the employees make the bagels). My coffee and bagel was only $6, not bad for the best bagel experience of my life!

Used to love this place, but then began to notice things like too much/too little cream cheese, extremely hard bagels I couldn't chew, and actually witnessed the health inspector tear them apart. Even after I knew they had been inspected, I went again thinking it would be fine, but I ordered. bagel with lettuce on it and after my first bite I realized there were giant clumps of dirt on the lettuce... Safe to say I won't be returning now.

HORRIBLE! Went there 3 times and they got it wrong all 3 times. 3 strikes and you're out. Too expensive for a lox and bagel sandwich that isn't made the way you order it.

I've never had a real NY bagel so if this is what they're like than they're pretty good. My wife ordered a garlic bagel to take with her on our flight later in the morning. It's two weeks later and her purse still smells like garlic. Not necessarily a bad thing.

I just noticed Brooklyn Water Bagels the other day, and I'm pretty sure it relatively new. It has the feel of fast-food bagels, but they turned out to be really tasty. They have a full lineup in terms of selection. I had the plain, while my amigos had many different flavors. The consensus among the group was totally positive. So there you go, not a great atmosphere but when it comes down to the bagels, they have their stuff together.

I'm a big fan of these bagels. They are thick, dense, chewy, and delicious. The asiago cheese bagel is my favorite. And they're pretty generous with their cream cheese. The coffee selection is impressive and self serve. And yes, they've got cool coffee ice cubes. Fun! I haven't had any muffins or cookies, but they look tasty ... Like a tasty tasty tease.

4 stars for the everything bagel Warning: coffee is just burnt water For the first time in the 5 years I've lives in LA, I have encountered a bagel that is NOT cakey and under toasted. Every culture makes bread in different ways. That's evident with the bagel. Not as good as the ones I love on the east coast, but the best in LA so far. Actually chewy and not over-yeasted to rush the rise. Would have given 1 star for the vibe. It's like some freaky funhouse of bagels. Too corporate feeling and not cozy or inviting. Harsh. But I guess you have to get used to LA giving you themes to follow, right? Haha (This place reminded me of how Disney would do bagels. Almost discriminatory, but still satisfying in some ways.)

I guess Larry King half owns this place. Not very exceptional in anything. But it was a tasty bagel for a normal price. It gets hectic on the weekends and that so hold on to your boot straps or if you're Larry King, hold on to your suspenders straps.

I'm not quite sure how long this location has been around, but I can't believe it took me as long as it did to come here. I go to school about two miles down the street, and I can't believe I hadn't come here until last week. My friend and I really only went here because we wanted something faster than the Coffee Co., which is located behind it. Their bagels are great, which is not uncommon for a bagel place, but what really sets them apart is their iced coffee (and regular coffee for that matter). They give you a cup and you make it yourself, so all of the components are located on the customer side in the beverage section. What's REALLY cool is that they have ice cubes that are made out of coffee, thus preventing your coffee from getting watered down. They have plenty options for milk and even various coffee flavors. My friend really likes their Kahlua flavor and there is an option that is comprised of brown sugar, banana, and another flavor. What's REALLY REALLY cool is that the coffee comes with endless free refills, as long as you stay in the restaurant. I would prefer getting my coffee here over Starbucks any day. I give it 4 stars rather than 5 because the location/parking is a little inconvenient and because the item that I like the most isn't really their core business. If I ever decide to order an item from the menu that is out of the ordinary and exceeds my expectations, I will be sure to update with my findings.

Normally I'd go 5 stars on this place BUT the prices keep going up every time I go eat there... The food is excellent as well as the employees... That gets 5stars. I usually get a egg n cheese bagel and a coffee... The first time I went to eat there it was $6.30 total... Now it's $7.90. I'm over it. Not going back... I just can't afford it. Sad.

As an L.A. native I don't know from N.Y. Bagels but these are awesome and put Noah's to shame. Head-hanging, tail between your legs shame. Plus they have self-serve egg creams which go awesome with their coffee cubes.

My wife and I are serious bagel snobs from Long Island . We have travelled from Playa del Rey to Brentwood just to get good bagels from NY bagel on San Vicentd. They are the best we've had on westside of LA. Since, we have gone to Manhattan bread and bagel in manhattan beach on sepulveda...not bad, not fantastic, but a good place to eat. NOW....BROOKLYN BAGELS... As we live 5 minutes away, we have given this place a try. First time 6 months ago, the bagels weren't great. We did try again a month ago and found, to our surprise, something changed. The bagels were very good! The service, was very good...but please learn how to toast a bagel correctly. It seems as if they are put in a panini maker ..toasted on the outside, not the inside ..but, no matter...again, the bagels were better than Manhattan beach, not better than Brentwood, but pretty damn good as is the service we have experienced in the numerous times we have patronized the place. To sum up, Go for the bagels, GO FOR THE COFFEE, AND DEFINITELY THE SELF MADE EGG CREAMS! Again, Larry king notwithstanding, just go.

I love their bagels!! They have wonderful service! They are quick and inexpensive. They have the best coffee. The reason they get 4 stars instead of 5, I called in a order and when I got to the store it took 15 minutes for me to get it but other than that they are always quick and I always enjoy going there! Oh and their cookies are fantastic!

*** Hmm, these here bagels are spot-on in my book. *** I bought a dozen for an office and I got positive feedback. So I returned later for a breakfast bagel and cup of coffee. I ordered the protein sammich on a jalapeno asiago bagel: spinach, tomato, cheese, chicken, mushrooms and onions. That really hit the spot ... not heavy and not too light as well. Coffee selections are many but they are not that great imo. Better than AM/PM of course, but no comp to SB or CBTL. *** Fyi, breakfast bagels are served throughout the day. ***

I would like to start off this review with a full disclaimer that I've never actually had a bagel from NY. That being said I really enjoyed this place. I actually enjoy most bagels, except ones that are sold in a bag from the grocery store because well they taste pretty gross. I was surprised to find this location while driving to the freeway one early morning. My boyfriend SWEARS by this company which has another location in Beverly Hills so we stopped by on our way back home from the airport another day. I ordered egg, everything and asiago with jalapeno. I got them to go with some lox cream cheese and some scallion cream cheese. Everything was pretty freaking delicious, I really can't pick which flavor combination I liked the best. My boyfriend would most likely want to let you know that its 23235% times better when toasted, meanwhile I thought it was perfectly fine as is. You be the judge! But seriously, if you like bagels, definitely check this place out. I think it will be well worth it. (Also, don't get all fancy and order their sandwiches, keep it plain and simple with your smear of choice...then there's a smaller possibility of them messing something up!)

Been wanting to try this place since its so close to my moms. Went this morning and at 730am it was pretty busy...good sign! Service was fast and friendly everyone said hello to me. There's an entire wall full of different flavored coffees both ice and hot...self serve. They had an array of milks to choose from including soy! I ordered an egg white bagel sandwich it was huge only finished half. Got a blueberry muffin it was ok. Wish it was more crispier on top. Got my friend the garlic bagel and I tried one bite. It was tasty but even with one bite I still have garlic breath as we speak. Looking forward to coming back and dining inside!

Plan on a long wait. It does no good to call your order in. I've done that to try to mitigate the wait time, but both times it took just as long. The parking on Sepulveda Blvd.is very limited & dangerous to use. If you park behind the store, it'/s an open air walk to the store. There is no rear entrance. I no longer go here. I buy my bagels from Coffee Bean on Lincoln & Manchester, where you can park inside & miss any inclement weather. The bagels are good though.

Pretty amazing place. I stopped here while i was working in Santa Monica and the food was delicious. I always get a bagel sandwich (garlic bagel) with onions and bacon and egg. Yummy! The staff is generally nice as well. Parking is in the rear of the building.

Ordered an everything bagel to go. The bagel was huge! And the cost was just over $2 for toasted w/ cream cheese. The bagel seemed really doughy and not very toasty. I think this might be what they're shooting for, but I prefer my bagels a little more toasted. The cream cheese was good but the flavor of the "everything" seemed a little burnt or maybe it was just too many poppy seeds. I don't live in the area so I may not be back. The bagel overall was ok, but they do have a huge menu with lots of options so we'll see.

After hearing that this place actually reproduces the same brooklyn water used to make new york bagels, I just had to try it! This location is the newest one, and is closest to my place. As soon as you walk in, you see the display of the replica of the water tank. Pretty cool. Next thing I noticed was the whole row of just beverages, from coffee to tea!!! I was amazed, and honestly wanted to try some coffee even though I am not a big caffeine person! The workers are great and definitely friendly, and even though this location is new, the people definitely make it welcoming! I ordered the whole wheat bagel with low fat cream cheese!!! I could not even tell it was low fat! seriously! The bagel had the right amount of bready consistency and tough outer layer, so you did not really feel like you had your whole day's carbohydrate intake...but i must say their bagels are Huuuuge, I definitely ate one half for breakfast and the other for lunch!! I will definitely be back to try other bagels...they do sell a large variety of shmear.. from strawberry to nova (smoked salmon)!!!

MMMMMM! Came here after dropping the husband off for work the other day. I've been eyeing this place for a while so I'm so happy I finally stopped in! There's a convenient lot in the back with plenty of parking. I ordered a whole wheat everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese ($2.99). It was SO good! The bagel was nice and crunchy yet gooey and it was so flavorful. I was also so happy that they had a whole wheat everything bagel! I know bagels aren't healthy, but at least I'm getting my whole wheat!!! I also got a coffee and everyone has mentioned their cool coffee bar set up. You can get cold or hot and there's a large array of choices. Pretty decent coffee, but nothing out of this world. I'm hoping the husband will want to come and try so I can try their cinnamon raisin bagel next time!

Great bagels but poor service. They have messed up my order multiple times. Store layout is cluttered and confusing. Servers act like you are inconveniencing them if you ask questions. Maybe this is how they do it in New York, but it's not appropriate for LA.

OMFG I LOVE BAGELS!!!!!! Too bad I moved out of Westchester a few years back. FABULOUS water bagels. Love the everything bagel and fresh cream cheese. LOVE LOVE LOVE the iced coffee area. They have COFFEE ICE CUBES! And a milk stations to add whatever your heart desires!

I like the bagels here, pretty fire. The star is not a 5 because the coffee is was not the hottest and the shop likes to keep the door open which makes it kind of cold. The muffins are great though. And they do have a large variety of coffee from sweet to dark and original. The employee was also nice when he brought me my food while I was stated. I had to bagels and he asked me if wanted him to wrap the second one. Pretty quick service and good music playing.. Music you vibe to. Type of music to have me writing a good review. Plus their designs nice. They have a cool blow up bagel on the roof too. Overall good spot for some breakfast grub

So I happen to realize we lived near a new bagel place, which has FLAGELS. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaa they are similar to NY style and will do as I can not find flagels anywhere in LA. I loved the everything bagel. Very clean place, very friendly staff, in and out quick. A dozen bagels were almost $13 seems a little high but they have Flagels. They give you 13 if you get a dozen, which is cool. I wish they had more Flagels when we arrived around 9 Am (Sunday morning), they had run out so quickly. Parking was super easy and I am so happy this place is so close to home. Will be here often.

Had the everything bagel w/ plain cream cheese, bagel texture was chewy on the skin and meaty in the middle, perfect in my opinion. Normally I like a ridiculous amount of cream cheese, but it wasn't needed here, their cream cheese is rich enough that alittle goes a long way. I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't say anything about that, although the coffee ice cubes are a cool idea. I would definitely recommend this place, my go to when I'm craving a bagel. Cheers.

Such a great bagel shop. Besides the perfect bagels (crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside) the staff is great, and shop is beautiful! Some shops cover crappy bagels with good toppings so the true test is a plain bagel. They passed with flying colors! The everything bagel and onion bagel were perfectly topped and so delicious. It's within walking distance of our house so this will become a weekend tradition I can tell! For anyone heading to LAX it would be a great food to pick up for the plane. Lots of parking behind and quick service. Can't wait to go back next weekend.

You know I have visited Brooklyn but I've never had a bagel there, but these are good bagels. When you get Lox and cream cheese with a coffee it came out to $13, which is probably a sign I should by my own lox and get several bagels to go. Overall, a great bagel spot, and yes the coffee-ice cubes are awesome.

Great bagels, great coffee! I've been a huge fan of this bagel shop since it opened over a year ago. Since then, they've always been friendly, consistent, and quick. They're one of the few places that boils (instead of steaming) their bagels. On top of that, the all the water they use is filtered through a large in-house system, so everything tastes that much better. I'm not normally into flavored coffees, but BWB has a delicious selection of different flavors and strengths of coffee served both iced and hot. I'm sure every other review says this, so I won't go into depth, but they have coffee ice cubes and they're great! A couple other things... This place can get totally packed on weekends and later in the morning, so try to go early. They now have sandwiches on their awesome bread! The only problem is that this is a bagel place and not a deli. I can't speak to the turkey or roast beef, but as far a prosciutto is concerned, either cut it fresh or don't offer it. If you're looking for something sweet, the marble cookie cake thing is delicious. Not the biggest fan of the muffins because the stuff ends up at the very bottom of the muffin, but hey, its called Brooklyn Water BAGELS.

Prices are astronomical for what they are providing. Almost $6 for a breakfast bagel? I thought Starbucks was a pioneer in over-priced goods but this takes the bagel. Brooklyn water must be really expensive or hard to get over here.

Whoa, these bagels make me feel like I'm in New York. Chewy and amazing. My friend bragged about living near this great bagel place. I wasn't sold until she took me there. Now I crave that shit. Thanks a lot friend.

Well to start off great bagels and great staff. I love to come here every time before work! Great ice coffee and muffins!

Coffee ice cubes! They have an extensive selection of hot and iced coffees. I chose the hazelnut iced coffee and I poured in the hazelnut creamer. Go easy on that -- it's pretty sweet. The best part, though, is that because I started with coffee ice cubes, I have been sipping on this iced coffee all morning and not only is it not becoming diluted and watery, I think it's actually tasting better over time. Also ordered the egg and cheese (Alpine Lace for my cheese choice) bagel (garlic bagel) sandwich and added bacon and spinach. I agree with other Yelpers; it is a whole lot of egg. Unfortunately, though, I found the egg a bit bland/tasteless. It wasn't bad, necessarily, just lacking that yum factor. My boyfriend ordered a bagel egg sandwich, too, and loved his. I got a Brooklyn Water Bagels coupon in the mail last week that offered six free bagels for their grand opening, so we ordered those as well and one plain shmear. I think we ordered the garlic, salt, everything, onion, and blueberry bagels. For two egg sandwiches, two coffees and one plain shmear, it was about $18. I'm glad we had that coupon for the additional half-dozen bagels. I think I'd go back just for the coffee ice cubes.

We were staying in a hotel near LAX and sought alternatives to the hotel fare. Driving by, I noticed this place. Check out the rave reviews and decided to stop. The bagels are amazing, huge, and has that perfect crunch and chewy texture. Each visit, I ordered a breakfast bagel; one with ham and the next visit with sausage. Each time, perfection. The iced coffee is decent, but the big plus was the coffee ice cubes. Nice touch...when I'm back in the LA area, I'll be sure to visit again. Thank you

Loved it. Awesome bagels and pastries but the iced coffee bar with the ice cubes MADE OF COFFEE make this place worth visiting!

Very impressed with the staff here, all positive and helpful. Not impressed with the prices. $8 for a pizza bagel that was still cold in the middle? Pizza rev is right down the street and I get get a whole pizza that tastes a lot better for exactly the same price.

Big mistake walking into this place on a Sat morning! It took 20 minutes just to get this Pizza Bagel! The cooks forgot about my order & I had to keep asking the cashier what is taking so long. Once I got it the look killed my appetite. Over priced place that is too busy.

The food is really good here and the bagels might be the best in LA but the customer service is definitely lacking. Went in for lunch to get a sandwich only to find out they were out of baguette bread. Ordered my sandwich on a bagel instead and paid the $2 extra dollars for chips and a drink. Then come to find out the diet soda keg is out. Final straw was opening up my bagel back at the office and finding it had no cheese, no mayo and no mustard - just turkey lettuce and tomato... not quite worth a $10 lunch guys...

I had breakfast here for the first time prior to making the drive back to Las Vegas. It was convenient being close to my hotel. The line was out the door when I arrived and seating is limited. There is ample parking behind the street frontage establishment. I ordered their veggie bagel which consisted of egg, mushroom, spinach and I selected Swiss cheese. I initially ordered it on a garlic bagel and was later told they ran out of garlic bagels so I ordered an everything bagel as a substitute. I was then told they were out of the everything bagel as well at which time I selected an onion bagel. My bagel was perfectly toasted and was crispy on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside. I really enjoyed this bagel and would definitely return in the future when I'm the area again. I would have given them 5 stars but was a bit disappointed they were out of my first two bagel selections given they appear to be a busy establishment

This place is a scam that overcharges for every menu item because of the coffee cube machine that attracts the constant crowd of rich, hungover sorority girls every morning. Also, I heard they have rats.

Lady's and gentlemen I just stumbled upon Brooklyn water bagel CO. And you can't go wrong with this place. I tried the breakfast ham and cheese with an everything bagel so much flavor. Loved every bite!

Went to this Brooklyn Water Bagels this past weekend and loved it!! The asiago bagels are excellent, chocolate chip muffins were amazing, and the whole atmosphere was upbeat and energetic, perfect for early morning bagel runs! Major respect to all the cashiers! So nice and helpful and the girl cashier that helped me in particular was constantly smiling from when I walked in and when I walked out making me want to definitely come back! Overall, food was great but customer service was incredible . Everyone should definitely try this place out whether it is on their way to work or not!!

Awesome breakfast place. I went yesterday and had the jalapeño bagel with egg ham and cheese and now going back for seconds. Reasonable prices and great selections too choose from. Nearby LAX. Must try the coffee ice cubes. I gave it a four star because I'm not a big coffee drinker and the coffee is self served

This was the first time I came into this place, I went to grab bagels for my colleagues at work. Normally I go to Manhattan Beach Bread Co. but have recently been unimpressed. Brooklyn Water Bagels is now my favorite bagel joint. ALL of my colleagues were raving about how fresh and tasty they were. They loved how soft and moist they were as well. The only knock is the price, I wish they would throw in one free bucket of cream cheese for every dozen.

Dear Brooklyn Bagels, Westchester, First of all. You never have enough coffee cubes. A third of the time I have to ask for more. Get your shit together. After purchasing my iced-coffee yesterday, I come to notice that 6/8 coffee dispensers and 4/8 milk dispensers aren't working. I really appreciate the head's up. Get your shit together. The other day you were out of *half* of your bagels. You're an eff-ing bagel shop! WTF! I always ask for my bagel to be double-toasted. I can count how many times it's been double-toasted and I can't count how many times I've had a bagel. Had you had a proper bagel toaster in the first place you wouldn't have one more thing to F up. Get your shit together. Your 5$ credit card minimum is pretty stupid. You're losing coffee-only customers to Starbucks because of it. Why not just have a credit card charge for purchases under 5$? Or does that just make too much sense? I've noticed you can't handle big crowds very well. It's actually comical to watch. I appreciate the free entertainment. Hiring even more inexperienced/incompetent employees is not going to make your staff any less inexperienced/incompetent. You have a quality and not a quantity problem. You're lucky you're a franchise. Had your owner/managers had to invent their own rules and procedures, you wouldn't have lasted for more than a week.

LOVE this place! Being from the east coast and loving New York style bagels, this was the first place in LA where I've felt like I was in NYC eating a bagel. Staff is always really nice and helpful and service is always fast. I get a toasted bagel with their cream cheese and it delicious every time! Last time I tried their apple cinnamon muffin it was great, nice flavor and very moist. Would definitely recommend!

This place here...I dig. I agree with other yelpers that the coffee is just "so, so", but I'm not a coffee dude, anyway. I've been here twice, and I must say their bagel breakfast sandwiches are the bomb. I had an asiago cheese bagel with egg and mozzarella...it was bomb!! I'll be making plenty of stops from here on out!

I'm taking off another point because they just keep getting worse. Today's experience is typical now... I was the 2nd person in line today. I ordered 2 bagels "to go" and an onion bagel toasted with cream cheese. I immediately received the to-go bagels but stood around waiting almost another 10 minutes for my one toasted bagel (there is no good place to stand around and wait for your stuff, btw). Get home and find out they gave me a garlic bagel with barely-there cream cheese (it looks like they only apply it to one side). I'm really starting to hate this place. I'm going to the donut shop for my bagels for now on.

What a scam. I saw Larry King on tv trying to pass this off as something special, you know cause he is jewish and from New York. But he hasnt lived in NY in about 60 years. All he did was take $ to have his name on it and maybe suggested they have egg creams. These bagels are awful. My jaw got a work out trying to chew this stale thing and I was there very early in the am. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese and they gave me a bacon egg and cheese. It used bacon bits and processed cheese. It was awful. The poor-your-own coffee was pedestrian. And the cookie I bought, well you could play hockey with it. Oh and this is another chain which perpetuates the myth that a schmear (and of course they misspell it as shmear) is the default, meaning you have to go out of your way to ask for "extra" to get a normal amount of cream cheese on your bagel. It's bad enough Einstein does that.

Super yummy! Just got back from a trip to NY, and these are by far the most authentic NY-style bagels I've had here in CA. Soft and chewy on the inside, and nice and crispy on the outside. I had a double-toasted blueberry bagel with cream cheese. Also tried a bite of my hubby's asiago, which was delicious as well. The iced coffee is also super cool: self-serve, coffee ice cubes, and tons of different brews to choose from!

If you are just going for the bagels - then I think I would give it 4 stars, they have good bagels, in a variety of flavors, but if you are getting one of their sandwiches, especially if it is a breakfast sandwich, it is just.. ok . I have ordered the breakfast sandwich twice with just egg whites, - which is good, but they put no spices what so ever on the sandwich, - no salt, pepper etc, nor do they ask you if you want any. So when you get the sandwich and bite it what you get is a fairly tasteless breakfast sandwich that you will have to add spices to after the fact. - I have also had their turkey sandwich which was ok, but nothing to write home about. Brooklyn Bagels -good for bagels and bread, not that great for other things.
